Happy People Entertainment and Development Foundation (Reg. No.154786NPO) is a South African based organization that has been operating since 2007. It is a social arm of Happy People Marketing. It is sustained through fresh innovative concepts and activations which are conceptualized and implemented by the marketing agency. HAPPY PEOPLE ONLINE ART AUCTION – 14 DEC - 17 JAN
You are cordially invited to the Happy People Online Art Auction fundraiser event. As one of the fundraiser initiatives to ensure Smiles are indeed taken to schools. Happy People Entertainment and Development Foundation Reg. No. 154786NPO (Happy People) has partnered with a team of artists from around the world, who have agreed to assist in raising funds for the cause.
Artworks will be showcased from, 14 December 2020 to 17 January 2021. The proceeds will be shared equally on a fifty-fifty basis, between the Artists and the NPO.

Nqobile Nkosi, NQ Jewellery
Nqobile Nkosi’s dreams of becoming an electrical engineer were shattered when he ran into financial difficulty during his BSc, but as that door shut, another opened. A chance encounter while in the queue to try to secure an engineering bursary led him to the Soweto Jewellery School. Nqobile embraced this new career path, and while still studying he began to ply his trade by polishing, resizing, and repairing items after school. A passion was born and today owns a jewelry business right there in Dube, Soweto.

The Artists who will be showcasing include; Jewellery designer and Tsogo Sun 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, Nqobile Nkosi; Patti Blueh, a South African visual artist based in Ghana; Michael Unga Ekandji, a fine artist from the Democratic Republic of Congo currently residing in South Africa as a refugee. An experienced team from Artists Proof Studio, who collaborate with Straus & Co, FNB Art Fair and showcased at Turbine Art Fair. Patrick Seruwu, a South African artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. His work portrays the strength of women and captures moments from their daily lives. Innocent Manjengenja, a stone sculptor who finds the inspiration for his work from the ancient Shona cultural sculpture from Zimbabwe. Paris based Casimir Balibié Bationo (CasziB) a contemporary painter born in Adjamé (Ivory Coast), originated from the Lélé tribe from the North-West of Burkina Faso. Christiaan Snyman, a multi disciplinary artist, who paints, does pottery and is a professional opera singer. We also have bead designer, Busi Mahali from Cape Town. Latifat Obanigba, a British Nigerian contemporary artist based in London to name but a few.
Latifat Obanigba, Visual Artist
A self-taught British-Nigerian visual artist. Latifat Obanigba uses multiple different mediums such as acrylic and digital painting to create art. As a black artist she has identified with the underrepresentation of women of colour in the art industry. Her art aims to elevate, motivate and appreciate the richness of her heritage, upbringing and culture enabling her to showcase the beauty of life through her love of art. Patrick Seruwu, Visual Artist
Patrick Seruwu is a self taught Ugandan artist currently living in Johnnesburg. Born in Kampala, Uganda. He did his studies at Kyambogo High School and comes from a family of four, his mother and three sisters. He is an art enthusiast since childhood partaking in community art competitions. Years later he relocated to South Africa where he was fortunate to meet Benon Lutaaya again who mentored him artistically until his passing. Patrick's work portrays the strength of women and captures moments from their daily lives. Through this subject, Seruwu also acknowledges the different positive attributes that he witnesses in his mother. His color choices, either sepia or pink, is a reflection of the time that is needed to heal, as well as as a representation of every day tensions.

Ehikioya Ehi has over 6 years experience in Banking, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. Her love for beautiful spaces, colours and passion for creativity pushed her and she founded the LeeCraft Enterprise, a customer centric company with an excellent service delivery mindset. Christiaan Snyman is a multidisciplinary artist, who paints, do pottery, and is a professional opera singer. At first, he studied fine arts at both UP and UNISA but changed direction and ventured into Opera. In painting, he is greatly influenced by the Dutch, Flemish, and French floral still-life Masters of the 1700s. He works in oil, with the highest quality ranges of Dutch, English, and French pigments. Working in large format, fine detail, and bold colour.
